May 22nd 10:30 Mountain Time, for real.
We ventured forth to Zion National Park. IT was spectacular. As we headed up the mountain side to get to the park, peter remarked: “Why are all the national parks ontop of mountains?” He then said that sequoia national forest would be the best because we didn’t have to drive up a hill. I said it would be the worst because it just consists of trees.
Why are all the national parks ontop of mountains?

Zion was awesome though, well worth the 20 dollars if you go there. We had bought the National Park Pass at Mesa Verde, so this park put us over the 50 dollar total, so now our pass is worth it. (Mesa Verde $10, Grand Canyon $25 and Zion $20)
Zion was some sort of hodge podge of mountain/desert landscape, but it was very beautiful. I don’t know but it might be my favorite to look at so far. The mountains were awesome. In the park there is some sort of super tunnel that we drove through, it seemed like it never ended but Pete got it all on video. The tunnel had various holes in it that looked out onto the best view of the park, too bad we had no way of stopping to take pictures… we enjoyed the tunnel so much, we are debating going back again tomorrow.

We stoped in the town of Hurricane, where Adam and I were the only ones with guts to get out and have a picture with the town monument, which happened to be in the middle of some sort of hillbilly ghetto. We are staying at a Super 8 motel, with the worst access ever. So hopefully these all get posted.
We were hungry so we went to the Burger King that is next door. It was kind of odd…. It was half BK half Chevron gas station. But the people in there were really nice, I think we would have been friends with them. We saw them hooking up their friends and stuff. It was very reminiscent of the old days at BK. Then we got back to the room and I dropped my fries all over the dirty Utah floor. I ate them anyway because I was hungry.
