We flew to Mexico City. We went to the Zocalo in the evening which is the second largest city square in the world. We had a couple of drinks overlooking the square which included a break dancing competition in true Run DMC style. There was also a blessing ceremony by some native Mexicans.

We caught the metro to Chapultepec Park. This is a massive 400 hectare park “the lungs of the city”, it is scattered with museums, lakes and the city zoo. We went straight for the Museo Nacional de Antropologia, this is said to be one of the worlds great musems, which we would believe after visiting it. It included a history of all pre-Hispanic periods and cultures.

We visited the site of Teotihuacan. Dating back to around 600BC and reaching its peak population between 450-650AD. It was a city planned and built on a massive scale. As usual we climbed the two main structures, the Pyramid of the sun and the pyramid of the moon, both of which gave fantastic views across the site.
