tacoma, washington

we were driving from san francisco to seattle before the everett show... we got SO tired one night around tacoma (washington), so we stopped there to get a room... we first stopped at a motel 6, which was a NIGHTMARE. our first room was all hot, sticky, and STINKY! it was like a mass of wet dogs, and the windows were all fogged up, and the room was a mess! so we got another room. the second one had the same problem with the smell, so we traded rooms a third time... same problem. so we got a refund and went to this other hotel across the street that looked more upscale...

this one was a "days inn", which looked really charming in the lobby actually. it was an all indoor hotel, which was a bonus, and it wasnt too much more in price... it started to seem strange when we were walking down the hall to the rooms. it looked a lot like the hotel in the movie "the shinging". jon and susan were even laughing about that on the way to the rooms... so we got our rooms (jon and me in one, and susan in the other). jons and my room smelled like cigarettes, and was a bit creepy, but we were willing to tolerate it because we were so damned tired by that point... but things were really shaken up when a frightened susan knocked on our door with a terrified look on her face! she said that her room stunk SO bad and that something felt wrong with it... so i went into the room, and i started bawling my head off! i felt this CREEPY ass feeling all the way down to my bones!! the room did indeed stink like a dead body or something. it was a really strong stench of sickly sweet nastiness. but the worst part was the way the room looked and FELT. there was this creepy victorian thingie above the bed which seemed really super creepy, the bedspread and drapes were really strange, and there was a chair in the room that seemed off as well. not to mention the red door had paint smears all over it, for some unknown reason... it was really strange...

haunted... spooky...

so jon went in to see what the big deal was and to take pics with his digital camera. he said that he also felt something creepy in there. he took some pics with his camera, and some floating orbs came out in the picture! that was really strange, but it could have just been the way the light reflected on the camera or something... needless to say we got our money back and drove the extra hour or so to seattle and stayed in a MUCH better hotel! it was so scary at the time, but its interesting looking back on it...
