Today was an amazing day.  Unfortunately, I'm sick!  Ahhh.  Last night we all went out to Gala Casino where Sacha, Hao, and I combined our forces to win 75 pounds playing roulette!  I was skeptical at first because odds are horrible at roulette.  But I guess we got lucky!  They were telling me that a couple of months ago they walked away with 40 pounds profit (starting with 10 as well).  During the casino night, the best part was the free drinks (non-alcoholic) and free sandwiches!

Anyway, the smoke did no good for my coughing and now it's worse.  So I woke up and had some fruit for breakfast.  We got to Craven Cottage (Fulham Stadium) at around 2:15 PM for a 3:00 PM kick off.  The team was kicking balls into the stands (just like baseball teams hit balls into the stands) for keeps.  We didn't realize it so we threw it back!!!  But then the keeper kicked it back to a little kid next to us.  Boo!  Oh well, I think the little kid was as excited as us so it worked out well.  Game started and we couldn't really see much becaus eof our vantage point.  It was easy to see the game play, but not offsides and what not.  The first half was boring, 0-0.  But the second half was amazing!  Fulham was dominating Newcastle.  The result were plenty of corner kicks and free kicks near our end!  We saw Brian McBride (US attacker playing for Fulham) score a brilliant goal.  The goal keepers for each team were MASSIVE!  Fans were non-stop cheering.  Jibraun (friend from USA) and I joined in when we could understand the words but most of the time it was difficult to make out what they were saying.  It doesn't help when the entire crowd is chanting AND they all have british accents.  They would say things like "Can we play you ever week?", "just 'cause you're losing", "you don't know what you're doing" (to the ref), "come on Fulham", and "the ref is a wankah!".  It was really funny.  The taunting of the Newcastle keeper was funny as well.  Luckily he took it all in jest.  Sitting in the front row, Jibraun and I touched the match ball several times!

The end score was 2-1 and a great match it was!

The end score was 2-1 and a great match it was!  We walked back to the tube station and ate dinner at the Roebuck right across the street from Gt. Dover apartments.  i fell asleep at 9:00 PM because I was extremely tired and felt sick.
