What better to do on a Sunday afternoon than stroll around Hyde Park and wonder through Kensington Palace. It was a nice sunny day so we thought we get out and see something, we got on a bus to Kensington and decided to walk through Hyde Park on our way to the Palace.  I was so excited when i saw the paddle boats and row boats sitting in the water, only to realise no-one was actually using them, i guess they don't get used in the winter!  The park was really beautiful and i can't believe i've been living in London 5 months and never been!  I'll be definetely dragging people back there in the summertime for some fun times on those paddle boats.

We stopped off to look at the Princess Diana water fountain which was designed to reflect Diana's life.  Water flows from the highest point in two directions, it cascades, swirls and bubbles before meeting in a calm pool at the bottom.

We then made it to Kensington Palace and went inside and did the audio tour.  The palace was really amazing with the high decorated ceilings and antique furniture decorated how it used to be when all the different royals lived there. And they had exhibitions on the clothes they used to wear and how they were made.  They also had a section on Princess Diana which displayed some beautiful photographs of her and some of her favourite dresses.  The gardens that surround the palace would be very beautful in the summer - i think i'll be spending some lazy afternoons around this area in the summer!
