Our day dedicated to the Isle de la Cite we took pretty easy.  Patrick was really sick our entire trip and becuase he was so sick neither of us slept very well.  So we got up a bit later than planned and headed to the Notre Dame.

The Notre Dame is a beautiful church with lots of history, but there isn't tons to see.  Don't dedicate too much time to this church and unless you are a fan of religion, don't bother getting the audio guide.  We did and I was bored.

Patrick and I decided that we needed to have a real date while in Paris

After our visit to the Notre Dame we wandered around the Isle de la Cite and then headed back to the left bank for some shopping.  We also went in search of the church of St. Sulpice - Patrick is reading the Da Vinci Code at the moment and he wanted to see this church because of its role in the book.

St. Sulpice is a nice church, but I am sure there is more appeal now because of the Da Vinci Code.  In terms of great churches, this is not one of them.

We then headed back to the hotel to have a bit of a nap and change for date night.  Patrick and I decided that we needed to have a real date while in Paris and we decided that is should include eating and drinking our way down the Champs Elysees.  As we walked along the Champs we stopped into three different restaurants - one for wine and appetizers, one for wine and an entree, and one for coffee and dessert.  It was such a great night and probably the best date I have ever had.  We had so much fun sitting on the patios of these restaurants with their heat lamps blasting and blankets across our laps.  It was the perfect way to end our trip to Paris.
