On Sunday Jen, Ken and Andy joined the Me, Michelle and Lauren for another day of exciting white water rafting! We all went through the same check-in and safety procedures as the day before. We were also bused to the same area. We were glad to have the guys to carry the raft this time and to help us paddle harder.

Me, Michelle and Lauren didn't have the same energy as Saturday. All 6 of us were put in one raft. This definately slowed us down. We didn't go nearly as fast the day before and we ran into alot more rocks and things. It was an amusing ride. Andy and Ken in tandem is usually pretty hysterical. They decided to name the raft we were on.

"help, the Titanic is taking on water!". A guide came to look at how much water was getting into the raft.

There were these idiots girls who did nothing but sing "row, row, row your boat" and other rafts of people who we'd get into water fights with. There were alot of people on the river that day and all the rafts kept banging into each other. It seemed like the guides did alot of yelling at people to behave. We were all having alot of fun. It seemed more challenging to have more people in the raft. It seemed harder to steer the raft. No one fell out of the raft on this trip including me, but we got stuck on several big rocks. One we were stuck on for a long time. Tons of rafts passed us and even bumped into us but nothing could free us from this rock. We were there for like 10 minutes before Jen got out to try to push the raft off the rock. Jen lost her one shoe in the river trying to free us. It was so funny.

Eventaully a guide came and helped us or else we might still be there. After going through a few name changes we named our boat the Titanic because we got a few big holes in it and it started to fill up with water!!! Andy was yelling "help, the Titanic is taking on water!".

A guide came to look at how much water was getting into the raft. He said we'd be ok til the end of the trip just keep dumping the water out with a bucket. We never did sink but at the end of the trip one guide held up a shoe and asked if anyway lost one and Jen was like "that's mine" and we had to explain how she lost her shoe. It was a fun day and a very tiring weekend of rafting.

Things I learned about White Water Rafting: 1. Get a group of your friends together and go - it really is a good time. You won't regret it.

2. Discounts - Some places give group leader discounts for groups of a certain number check on that. Some places have discounted rates for weekend long excursions, check into that too.

3. Pay attention to the Safety Instructions. You may have to pull someone into a raft, Michelle did!

4. Don't try to free your raft from a rock by getting out of the raft....you may lose a shoe, Jen did!

5. Get a waterproof disposable camera and take pictures, some are pretty funny.

6. Wear sunblock! I got wicked sunburn, make sure its the waterproof sport stuff.
