In Philadelphia we stayed with Anna’s friend Carla and her boyfriend Drew.  Back on our schedule of seeing a city in one day, we focused on the ultimate tourist stuff: Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, etc.  Unfortunately we never did get around to eating a cheese steak.

We were also very impressed with Citizens Bank Park where the Phillies play.  It’s only been around for a few years and they definitely took some of the best features from many of the other new parks.  It also had some great-looking food and apparently won the award for best ball park food in 2007, but unfortunately we stuck to our PB&J sandwiches and free sodas we got for signing up to be designated drivers (some tricks for your next frugal trip to the ballpark).
