The hostel I was shooting for last night was closed because the owner was sick.  Some nice ladies let me stay in the church in Pippa Passes (Kentucky).  One knee is real sore, but otherwise my body feels good and Bess and I are getting to be good friends.

58 miles today to Buckhorn Park.  Had a long talk with a man going east on a recumbent bike. He gave me a pair of gloves and some advice about towns to hit and some short cuts. I’m the third woman he’s met going solo. I was able to clear my camera at a Riteaid and check my email and get some good maps in Hindman. Beautiful library - not Estacada but beautiful.
