At a stand still.  The boat from Koh Tao quickly showed a pile of hundreds of backpacks when we stopped at Koh Phangnan to pick up loads of tourists that had just attended the Full Moon Party.  The boat ride was hell.  Sitting on the front deck with no room to move... blazing sun... did I mention tourists everywhere?  First on.  Last off.  No hope of traveling on from this point.

Spent the night in Surat Thani.  I highly recommend this as a stopover for anyone that wants to eat some great food.  The night market... incredible.  Stay at the guesthouse... "The Web."  It's owned by the friendliest woman in all of Surat Thani and she was gracious enough to allow four of us to crash in one room for less than one u.s. dollar a person.
