I wasn’t quite prepared for the hassels of internet service – I assumed my new fabulous WIFI MacBook meant that anywhere there was WIFI it meant I got FREE service.. Not so – Not even remotely so…. Just in the two days of travel I’ve spent $50 So I may not be “Blogging” like I hoped – I know it’s too soon to tell but I didn’t budget for this…

Woke up in Tavira – hotel is lovely – in the middle of nowhere – but right on the water. Mom and I went into the Center of Town and had lunch and walked around a bit. Very quaint, lots of people mulling about. Mom is camera happy, snapping away. We finally got a map and book of what to do so we can stop asking each other what we “should” do. We might just stay in the hotel for awhile and use the fabulous Jacuzzi, hottub and indoor heated sauna like pool…. It’s tropical!!

we woke up Thursday and drove back roads to Faro - Hotel Faro to be exact right on the marina in the very center of town. I'm so happy I can finally use my own laptop and internet!!! Room is great, mom is laying down, I'm about to Skype Steve - My new favorite program on the internet and then we are off to explore!! I may even take some pictures (finally).... It's dreary and damp but we are in PORTUGAL!!! I'm just hoping for more than a ham and cheese - which seems to be the only lunch option. Talk later

Today was fantastic!! We drove across the entire Algarve and up the mountain to Monchique.  We saw the hotsprings and down to the end of the earth to Sagres.  (and all towns in between!!) 8 hours total and amazing pictures to prove it!! Sun was hot, clouds were beautiful and both lunch and dinner were delicious!! Finally!!  It really was a great day.  So great we dont know what to do tomorrow.  Mom has a hard time with my driving - but other than that we are good!  People have been nice but not tremendously helpful.  Tomorrow is mom's b/day so we will indulge in the sweets we have been ignoring all week.... I'll post some pics and write when I get to Morocco - Have a great weekend. xoxxo
