We drove to Rangitukia today.  We stopped at Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings, it was one of the prettiest views I have seen while in New Zealand.  There were sheep everywhere.  We had a huge meal when we finally got to the lodge and it was some of the best food I have had while in New Zealand.

Wednesday morning we went white water rafting.  They provide you with everything you need, the gear is nice compared to other places.  All the guides are really fun and good at their job.  They teach you everything before you get into any rapids.  It starts of with some grade 2 and 3 so we had time to get the fell of things.  It started getting rougher afterwards.  There were five boats of seven plus a guide.  One boat flipped twice, two flipped once, one lost a couple people, and my boat did not loose anyone.  We got to go down a grade 5 waterfall that they have not been able to take people down for the last couple weeks due to rain.  A few people flipped here, but it was much fun.  There are at least ten grade four and five rapids along the way.  I had so much adrenaline pumping especially seeing everyone swimming down the river.  Even though almost everyone feel out of the boats, the guides do a great job making sure everyone was oaky and safe at all times.  I have been white water rafting before but it was nothing compared to this.  If anyone has the opportunity to stay at River Valley Lodge and white water raft with them, do it!
