Bay of Islands

Well, I made it in the big orange egg all the way up to Paihia.  It took some adjusting to be able to drive this monstrosity on the other side of the road, but I'm doing alright now.  In other news, I finally got a cell phone.  If you're calling from the States, it's like 5 cents a minute (from a land line, apparently), so hit me up if you're bored at work or something and make my day.  It's:

Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes and facebook wall signings, etc.  It was so nice to be remembered, and I loved hearing from all of you.  I'll get around to e-mail responses sometime soon, I promise.

The Spaceship's doing alright.  Got a double bed, some free snacks they tossed in there, DVDs, a fridge, a propane grill, and all the maps/guidebook information I could want.  I stopped in Whangarei on the way here to see if I could check in with the Jews, but I called the one contact number their community has and had to leave a message.  I'll give it another shot tomorrow before Shabbat.

I guess that's that.  Paihia and the Bay of Islands is pretty incredible.  Really cool views.  First night in the big orange egg coming up...
