After a long 12 hour flight from Johannesburg and no sleep we got into Sydney in the afternoon where we were picked up by Pete- Andy's friend.  He pretty much took us straight to the Springboks v Wallabies game at the Olympic stadium! It was pretty cool to be watching the game for real in such an awesome stadium, although we were pretty tired and trying to stay awake!  Over the next few days we did all the usual tourist stuff, we got the boat from the river into circular quay seeing the harbour bridge and opera house and so on which was cool.  We went to the botancial gardens one day, surprised to see hundred of these massiv bats called flying foxes everywhere! The views from there and Mrs Macquaries Chair are really good of the city.  I will try and get some photos up soon!  The American aircraft carrier the Kittyhawk was also in town so we had a look at that- its massive! We got the ferry over to Manly one day which was really cool- surf was really good but we hadnt bothered to take our boards so it was another one of those times where we just had to watch! Me and Ringham went over to Bondi beach one day as well, but it was cloudy cold and deserted- nothing like the stories we had heard so a bit disappointing! We had a couple of good nights out in Sydney too at a couple of bars near the hostel.
