While the sun was out we thought we should go and see some of the local sites. We went to St Fin Barres Cathedral and St Anne's Church.

St Fin Barre's Cathedral was amazing. On the outside there are heaps of sculptures, on the 3 main portals there are several figures carved on each side. The left side has 8 of the apostles, the middle has 10 virgins, five foolish and five wish and the right hand portal has either apostles & saints (I can't remember which).

On the inside there are stained glass window all the way around the church. They depicted bible stories working their way from Genesis through to Jesus.

Later on that afternoon we stopped in at St Mary’s & St Anne’s Cathedral. The interior in this church was a lot newer than St Fin Barre’s due to a fire.
