Yellowstone
From Mike and Meg's Honeymoon in Yellowstone National Park, United States on Jul 06 '07
We finally made it to Yellowstone National Park way the heck up there. We thought the drive would take about 6 or seven hours, however that turned into like 11. The social studies teacher in me came out as I stresses to my wife the importance being able to read a key on the map. Just kidding. The actual park is ridiculous. I believe it is over 2 million acres and once we passed through the gate it was still another hour and a half to our cabin. Yes I said cabin, Meg and I both agreed that tenting out there was not the greatest ideas due to the wildlife that inhabits the park. I mean seriously If I was put in a situation where I had to protect my wife and myself from a bear...well...the both of us would end up on CNN as one of those park disasters that we all read about and think "those idiots". Anywho, we were not in the park for 5 minutes when we stumbled across a black bear on the side of the road. It did not seem to mind any of the partons and was more concerned with his own thing. Our cabin was set right next to Old Faithful and it was nice to be in a bed again. The next day we got up and try to explore as much of the park as we could before setting off to as far as we could get driving that day. All in all we gave Jellystone 4 stars!!
