Ok, so after the passport fiasco (I locked it in the shed with all my other stuff, and then had a five minute heart attack!!), I managed to get off in one piece Friday morning, with kate and Angie doing their best northside impression (i.e. going out onto the street in their pyjamas) to wave me off, and the wonderful McGee actually at the airport (separate aircoach though) to see me off. Things almost got too much when Linda spotted a three year old at the departure gates waving goodbye to her Daddy...oh, the emotion!!

Anyway, the flight wasn't too bad. I was fairly relaxed. Had two seats to myself for the Heathrow-Singapore flight. I didn't sleep much on the first flight, but the inflight enetertainment wasn't bad, although they did lie about having the internet. second flight was more squishy but I was so tired I slept anyway.

So arrived at Elaine's saturday night, had a few drinks to chill, went to the pub, got home at 3am, slept soundly til 1pm the next day, wondering what all this fuss about jet lag is!! Went to my cousin Michelle's on Sunday for a mother's day dinner for their Mum Eleanor, and it was lovely to catch up with them all, and they were so good to me and so happy to have me, so that will be great. They do family dinners once a fortnight so I'm invited along to them all, so willl be lovely to have that all the way over here.

Started work yesterday...to the mortification of the wonderful Mark getting 6 red roses delivered to the office 20 minutes after I arrived!! Well it was a great way to get to know everyone, and of course it put a permanent smile on my face for the day (once the initial blushing and sweating with embarrassment died down) so now they all see me as this happy, smiley, loved up, soppy person!! but they do look wonderful on my desk. Anyway, work is good. They are very tecchie over here, all very brainy, and serious about their work. They use big words and don't mess about on the chairs in meetings...some people even take notes!!! I've loads to learn, but it will be really good, especially all the systems they use. But at the moment, the jet lag is really killing me. Woke up at 5am yesterday morning, and didn't go back to sleep at all. Yesterday struggled to stay awake watching TV on the couch after Home and Away (was wide awake for that though!) but then woke up at 2.30am and didn't get back to sleep til 6am and was up again at 7am!! Nightmare!!! Gonna go to the gym tonight though, my God, these aussies are obsessed with the gym, I feel like such a lazy heifer listening to them all. But anyway, hopefully getting a bit of exercise will sort out my body clock. If not, Enda's told me about some really good herbal stuff to take, cos I really can't go through another night of starting at the ceiling for hours on end!!!

Thanks a mill for all the comments. Do keep them coming. Miss ye all loads already xxx
