We arrived in Taupo early morning and got into a hostel. We then had a walk around the town and along the lake. Jon had been saying he would get his head shaved and finally did. We had some lunch then in the afternoon we went to see Taupo bungy jump as its quite a popular one. It was into the Waikato river and looked horrible. Bungy jumping does not appeal to me! We then played mini golf, not exactly extreme but fun none the less.

In the afternoon we bumped into the british couple we'd met in LA and flown to Fiji and New Zealand with so in the evening we met for some drinks. The next day we were up and off to Wellington.
