Sun, Sea and a Whole lotta Sick!

So we've just got back from a 3 day liveaboard trib to the reef, I think we are both still swaying a bit from being at sea that amount of time, but give it time and we'll (hopefuly!) get over it!
We had booked the trip on Thursday afternoon with a company called Pro-Dive as they had a special offer on outside the shop and we set out on Friday, they're really good, nice smallish boats of 32 guests, but apparently the largest (PADI)certifying school in the southern hemisphere. Got picked up at 6.00am, which wasn't the best start to a day at sea but the weather looked ok and we didn't have much of a choice.

As we headed out the sea started to get a bit rougher, Jem got a bit greener as did I. After only about 45 mins Jem was being ill like a dog, and soon after I followed. God, i've never felt anything like it, and you can't get off!! 3 Hours it took to get there and i'd say we were ill for the majority of it.
I managed to really embarrass myself by thinking I could dive in that state, so kitted up and got in the water, only to spew on the surface in front of my new dive buddies, complete with "YYYYAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHGGGLLLE" sound effects. Not a great first impression eh?! So I got back out and went to lie down in the cabin with Jem.

Managed to do the next dive, and the night dive though. I think the sleep sorted me out, Jem however managed to sleep from about 12 in the afternoon well through until 7 the next morning. Boy this being sick lark really takes it out of you! She was wanting to go home at one stage though, but there were no boats nearby that could do it so she stuck around and I think she's glad she did.
The next few days were brilliant, pretty good diving, I saw my first Sharks on Sunday so I was really chuffed, but the best part of the trip was hand feeding a Hawksbill Turtle with some red algae, we found her on the bottom feeding and swam over, she willingly took the seaweed I held out for her, it was absolutely amazing!!

Got some nice pictures too, but as my internet time is running out I'd better leave it for another day.
Stay classy everyone, lots of love
Si and Jem
