Larnaka and Agia Napa

Yes i'm in Cyprus right now as we speak. I'm staying in the Livadhiotis Hotel in Larnaca and just spent the day on Nissi Beach in Agia Napa. It's been great to come back here for a second time. I like the sense of familiarity that I have here, and I know what to expect sort of thing, which is a nice feeling.

Bit of a long story, but i had planned to go to Australia from here to use my return ticket. Things didn't end up working out that way and I'd already booked my trip to Cyprus. So I figured, why not spend a lovely long weekend sunning myself and generally being indulgent? Well I couldn't see any reason why not, especially since getting back to London is only costing my 40 pounds.

Yesterday I got up early and spent the morning on the beach after having a Cyprus sandwich and a frappe at one of the cafes on the seafront. In the afternoon, I bought myself a pair of shoes and went to use the internet (had to check that I'd been paid!) and whilst doing that, I found out that my voluntary redundancy has been accepted at Airservices. Yay!

Feeling a little fat still... but most certainly on the way down. A lesson for anyone who comes to London - look out for the Hesthrow injection! It's just horrible when people comment and you know that they're thinking 'oh my god you porker'. But yesterday i bumped into an old man who I chatted to a bit last time I was here. He barely recognised me and goes, 'oh you put some kilos'. Usually i'd feel really bad after a comment like that ('coz it's true and i hate it) but I was feeling so on top of the world and in paradise and grateful to god that I could be here, i could no have given one shit about being fat! Fat and happy!!! :)

It's lovely staying in a nice hotel and after being in London, this place is so cheap!! (It felt really expensive coming from Australia!) Nissi Beach at Agia Napa today was absolutely amazing... I have never swam in such beautiful waters in my life! There's no denying it's still a sleazy place though and it is slightly annoying.

So, a lot's happened since I last made contact, but I'm going to leave all that for another email another time. I will say though, that I'm really happy in London, and I will definitely be there for a while longer.

Tomorrow, I'm going to go back to Nissi Beach and spend the day there again, and then I fly out at midnight. Well, it's about dinnertime so I'm going to leave it at that and go and have a Greek Pita and a Carlsberg beer for dinner..mmm!
