A day trip to Cerro Acompanario

A good friend of mine, Wai Wai, has finally joined me in Bariloche of Argentina after his business trip to New York. We talk in Cantonese freely, something that I haven´t been able to do for over a month.

In the next day, we planned to cycle a lake district but we cannot find shops to rent bicycle (different passers-by have different version of the location of the shops) So we take a cable car to go up to a touristic spot called Cerro Acompanario, which is on top of a hill where you can have very beautiful views of the lakes, mountains, forests around. Again, the weather is perfect. The weather here has been good for days. Wai Wai enjoys the trip much as it´s a real relax after working hard in the past month in NY.

In the afternoon, we head back to the town centre for making reservation for flights from Bariloche to El Calafate. After the low-season starts, there are less daily flights, so all the flights to and from El Calafate have been fully booked. People would probably make reservation on several flights on several days to play safe. We are in waiting list for several flights but get a confirmed reservation on Sunday, which is actually too late. The perfect schedule is to leave Bariloche on the coming Thur so it is justified for Wai Wai to go all the way to El Calafate and Torres del Paine, or the time on transportation is too much compared to the time on hiking and sight-seeing. If we can only fly on Sunday, Wai Wai, and probably I as well, may not go but stay in Bariloche instead. We will keep checking the waiting status of those earlier flights. Now we have done all the things that we can do, and pray for help.
