Wow this zoo is incredible - i had such a great day today and i was so lucky.  After taking the guided bus tour i hopped on the sky tram and went straight to the polar bears.

this was so much better than expected, after watching them for the past year sleep on the web cam i arrived to them both having a HUGE barney.  I got some great footage of them having their bar room brawl which went from one end of the enclosure to the next and several dips in the pool.

i moved along to the pandas and got them at a time when they were being fed so they were quite active.  Then came the monkeys that share an enclosure with otters.  This was great as 2 otters were playing in the water and 2 monkeys overlooking them by the water, as one otter swam by a monkey grabbed his tail and held him back.  It was great mischief and got a lot of appreciation from the crowd.

Other highlights were the meerkats all sun baking in the late afternoon, they were so cute!

After a full day it was time to go back to the hotel and relax at "wine time" up on the rooftop.  This was an incredible end to a wonderful day as a full moon rose over the city as the sun was setting.
