After a 3.5 weeks at home, I returned to Bogota to continue traveling.  Even though I have been in Bogota a couple of other times there were still some important tourist sites to see.  Plus I spent a ton of time on the internet, catching up on all the things I planned to do while I was home.

First went to the top of Cerro de Monserrate, a hill on the edge of Bogota, to get a view of the city.  And then I went to the Colombian National Museum.  The museum is located in the cities old prison.  They did a really good job remodelling it into a museum.  Not only did they have all sorts of artifacts and art from Colombia, but there was an exhibition with a few of Terracotta Warriors on loan from China.  It was cool to see but it makes me want to see the over 8000 statues in their original location (I'll have to save that for another trip).

Also while in Bogota, I got to meet up with my friend Samir(Colombian - who I met on my last bus trip to Bogota).  He was actually not living in Bogota, but was there get a visa to study/work in France from the French Embassy.  We had lunch, and he taught me more about Colombian culture and all the different foods... you would not believe how many different new tropical fruits they have here.
