Chartres Cathedrale

Ok, so I haven't been the greatest keeping up with this blogging. But, I have been writting in my personal journal, so everythings all right!

Last weekend, we went to Chartres Cathedrale outside of Paris. It was a really great trip! The town around the cathedrale is quaint and medieval-ish, which I enjoyed alot! The cathedrale its self was massive and you could see it from everywhere around the town. We took a bus in with our group and had a tour of the cathedrale, which was well worth the expenditure. We learned alot about the cathedrale and its history, which gave it more meaning to me at least. I took a ton of pictures and as soon as I can figure out how to upload them, I will have them in this entry.

We had lunch at a really great local resturant after the tour. I had my first real french meal with an apperatif, entree, main meal, dessert, et cafe. The food was good and the resturant was really neat and calming. We got to walk around the city some, which was definitely a bonus. After our walk, Pamela, Matt, and I went to climb the tower of Chartres! Oy!! It was really exhausting walking straight upwards in a really tight cramp area, but was totally worth it when we got to the top!! It was absolutely breath taking!
