I went to L’Italiana in Algieri tonight with Lindsay, Matt, Josh, and Melissa. Then we went backstage and met the big star of the opera world, Juan Diego Florez. I’m sure the poor man just wanted to get back to his hotel room, but I shook his hand and told him he did a good job and then got a photo with him. Fabulous. The show was great, except for the soprano. There was a great scandal in the opera world over this replacement though anyway. I guess that Olga Borodina was not being very nice to anyone and got fired.
