As a good stopping point before our visit yo Copenhagen we went to Munich. Now I've been to Munich once before for Oktoberfest, which is a great time to go, but this time we explored the city a little more.
Since we were on a real deadline of one actual day we took Mike's Bike tours. I highly recommend this tour. It is an awesome tour of a fabulous city. Our humorous guide from South Africa gave us some great history on the city, we went to a beer garden and a great park where you can float down a man made river. They even have an area to surf in the river. Pretty far out!
Munich is a city for the people and it is well worth a look.

As for the city it is relatively new, Because the city was some heavily bombed in WWII a lot of the buildings are new, but they keep with the old architecture to blend with the old buildings that remained. It is a really beautiful city.
I really wish we had a little more time here. I defintely want to come back. Munich is a city for the people and it is well worth a look.
