The large tall hotel on the North side of the city is where we stayed. Nothing spectacular.
The three spired castle on the hill is the national museum. To get a personalized guided tour is $6 USD. It is worth it to get a personalized tour. The tour guide spoke English well and gave good insights. The armor room is very interesting.
The market in the square has tons of stalls selling holiday items as well as amazing food stalls. The chicken and pork sandwiches with a horseradish sauce on a bun are good. The spicy tomato soup is good too. Cheap.
This was by far my favorite place to shop in E. Europe.
