Well We have been hiking in the black forest in germany, Walking in Switerland and hiking in Lichtenstien and we finally made in to italy to hike to 3000 m at the base of the mattehorn. It was all so beautiful.

We are know on day two walking around torino a little late but all for the better (we had planned or talked about working at the olympics) but the town is wonderful only thing is that it is really hot.

We made up last night with people we had met at the campsite we are staying at a couple for holland and 4 french guys cheering for italy and watched the game with them in the main square with a lot of italians.... the square was packed (pictures to come later not access from this computer). It was 28 degrees for the game... and the party in the square had started about 2 in the afternoon and the noise was amazing as loud as a concert when you can't haerd the person next to you speaking... this continued well into the night... as we walked back to the campsite the rest of the city was walking in.....

Thanks for all your notes it's always nice to have a feeling of home.....

Love alison and matt
