We got a bit of a lie in today.....we werent woken up till 8am!

So we had breakie (french toast), made our pack lunches, then got back on the bus to head back over to some more Hiking trails.

First hike of the day was to head up to a place called Dog Lake, which is over 9000ft above sea level, so the hike was hard going, even though the trail was easier than yesterdays!   I got left behind again, in the middle of a forest....which was a bit nerve racking cos I walked past what appeared to be a bears scratching post!  That sped me up a bit!   When I got to the top of the trail it was well worth it!  The lake is amazingly clear, it seems to just be rain water as there is no rivers running into it.  The water looked so inviting!  But after yesterdays swim in the river I wasnt going to get cold again, plus I didnt have my towel with me!  We chilled out there for a bit (I met the others up there), we had our lunch, then most the other set off on another hike, while 3 of us (2 smokers and an asmatic!), decided to stay at Dog Lake and chill out.  I had a tiny bit of weed left so I borrowed a pipe of an Irishman, Jay, and had a little smoke!   At 9000+ft   you get pretty stoned pretty quickly, which was nice!  It's nice getting cained when theres 3 of you with a whole lake to yourself!!

We then headed back down the trail back to the bus, then took a bus ride over to another trail where we went to see some Great Sequioa trees.  The trail to them was easier becaause it was all down hill.  We finally got there, and the trees are BIG....really BIG!    We stood gawping at the trees for a bit, then crawled through one which had fallen over and been hollowed out.

Next we trapsed back up to the bus which was harded work than going down, got on the bus then headed back to the campsite, via the shop, so we could get booze supplies.

Once back in the camp, we had dinner, lit a fire, and got pissed!   Which was fun!   After a while we decided to go and make use of the heated swimming pool at the campsite, which was closed, but hey, they should have made trhe fence bigger!!

So we had a swim for a while, which was fun, then headed back to continue our drinking!

We eventually got off to sleep about 2am....not good with more hiking on the cards for tomorrow!
