On our next day in Germany we took the train and departed for Salzburgto our disappointment it was a miserable day outside!!! It was about a 2 hour train ride from Munich to Salzburg, Austria. Once we arrived we set off on foot for a historic walking tour where we visited the Gardens that The Sound of Music was filmed in and Motzarts two homes. From there we crossed the bridge to a part of town that had a street lined with shops, cafes, churches etc. because of the cold and VERY WET weather Kayla and I decided to find a caf and enjoy a cupacchino and a warm piece of apple straddle. We never saw the beautiful mountains that surround the city (except on a post card) :(
