Susan says:

We arrived in Austin on Wednesday night just after the "cold front" blew in. To the locals, that means the temperature was comfortably sitting at 90 F/35 C. We enjoyed this cool period by alternately shopping for camping supplies, getting the car road-ready, and watching the World Cup. Actually, Debbie watched a bit of the WC- I didn't pay much attention. Now it's time to be on our way, and say good-bye to our lovely hosts.

Debbie says:

So f***ing hot but i'm getting used to it now. What i won't get used to are the big, fat, ugly bugs that were trying to sit on my pale face when having a smoko outside in Cheri & Letitia's garden. See... even away from work i still find something to moan about :)

Went to a fantastic sushi restaurant on Friday night. See the pics. Tasty little crabs but a bit itchy on the mouth.

Better go as we've a long drive to get to our first campsite somewhere in West Texas. We'll hit Alberquerke (spelling probably wrong) this Thursday and will be staying in a hotel (not the boil in the bag tent) so we'll do another journal and upload more pics then.

Hope everyone good. dx
