A quick stay in Burley, ID and then off toward Utah. Again anticipating a 6 hr. trip to Green River, UT our next stop, we only drove 7 hrs, so, not so bad. Once into Idaho and then Utah the speed limit increases (to 70 or 75 MPH) which helps, but when towing a car you can't go light speed.. but it's better than 65 MPH. {Thank goodness gas prices are coming down :)} Once again we started with low lying clouds and some drizzle, but as the day went on this cleared. After traveling about 55 miles we entered Utah but not before being entertained by the presence of mountains, as well as some different road signage. Guess the wind blows mighty hard in southern Idaho?

Utah has some beautiful landscape along interstate 15/84 as you had toward Salt Lake City.  The Wasatch mountain range borders to the west as you head south into Salt Lake City. As you go, you come to understand why Utah has some marvelous ski areas, them mountains are steep! Once in and beyond Salt Lake City we encountered some other entertaining signage, anyone for Liposuction?

Just outside of Provo, we jumped off the interstate and headed further southeast on highway 6 toward Price, UT. Again, what beautiful country we were fortunate enough to travel through. For those of you from New England, and NH specifically, you'll be happy to know that we found the Old Man of the Mountain! No fear, he is alive and well and living just outside of  Price, UT. That whole thing about him falling down is just a rumor!

We settled in Green River, UT mid to late afternoon, stopping for the night, anxiously anticipating our next leg, tomorrow: only 3 hrs. to Silverthorne, CO.!
