I enjoyed San Antonio. Had a great time, was able to relaxe. We didn't quiet understand the whole canal thing so we ended up only visiting the Mall, thinking this is what people were telling us about, we weren't impressed.

The night of the 30th we crossed from the hotel to a piano bar called Pat O'Briens and we stopped in to listen and had a great time requesting songs, after we climbed into a horse drawn carriage with a tour guided full of interesting stories and recommendations on were to eat.  We laughed and had such a wonderful time.  Very romantic. I hated to leave to go back to bed but we were headed to Sea World!

after we climbed into a horse drawn carriage

The next night we decided to try out Dick's Last resort.  We were told it had the best steak and crab in town.  It did but when we got there we realized it was right on the water along with many other resturants and we began to realize that we had not understood San Anotnio.  So, we want to go back to see everything this time.

Hi: I have been browsing Texas web sites for the last few weeks, because of a new web site we have launched. I am seeking out Texas sites and individuals who want to share their trips, and wanted to offer you a chance to bring more readers to your site about Texas – at no charge at all. We publish an annual camping guide, and have the leading discount camping club in the US. Our very popular sister site, RVScrapbook, is a social network, similar to MySpace, but it’s only for RVers, (recreational vehicle owners), and their families and friends; including kids and teens. We have just expanded the site to include Texas’ own sub-domain, as the largest state in the US for RV camping. I think visitors to the site would enjoy your content. We have many magazines, radio stations, and other RV media working with us on this project, and I think the site could help you – and you could help us as well. Our site is only a week old, and as a sub-domain of RVScrapbook, already enjoys an incredibly low Alexa rank of the top 85,000 of all web sites on the internet. Because of its high rank, links from Texas.RVScrapbook.com to your site help increase your visibility in the search engines, and TACO, the Texas Association of Campground owners, will be inviting over 200,000 Texas travelers to join us there next week. These RVers will be blogging daily, adding pictures, and making new friends, which gives you another place to let them know about your site, without paying for advertising. We would like to invite you to create a membership for yourself, absolutely free, at www.texas.rvscrapbook.com Once you register, just email me with your user name, and I will upgrade you to a GOLD membership, at no charge, since you have a Texas web site. You can make a profile page that tells others about your site, add links to your site, and even use some of your existing articles or photos to share with the RV community – all of which make RVing travelers familiar with your work, and can help your site become more visible to this unique group of RVing internet users. Also, because of the RV media participation here, you might find your work published in a leading RV magazine, or you may be invited to interview with RV radio networks, a fast-growing segment of the RV media. You have the opportunity to meet the media people, who are also members of the main site. All of this would help your site become more visible, and it would help our site, because the more great content we have, the more popular it will continue to be. Stop in and check it out, and please keep in touch to let us know if you have expanded ideas for how you might get involved. We think first-hand stories about travel in Texas are the most important thing we can reveal online – there are so many people waiting in the wings to join this lifestyle, and we want to be a great resource for them. Have a great day! Anne Pierson http://www.texas.rvscrapbook.com Main site: http://www.rvscrapbook.com 866-677-6453

If you want a good excuse to come back... The J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa opens in March of 2010 and will feature 1,002 rooms, fine dining, a great spa and fitness center, two PGA TOUR TPC golf courses designed by legendary Pete Dye and Greg Norman, a multi-million dollar water park designed by the Sea World team – this will be the largest JW Marriott Resort and a one of a kind vacation destination. It’s located north of San Antonio (20 min. from the airport) and provides easy access to all the attractions in the Hill Country region – historic towns, musical legends, award-winning vineyards and culture from the Spanish tradition to the deep German heritage of the settlers. See it as it comes together at www.jwsanantonio.com
