The thing that brought me to Nicaragua was a job I took working as a waiter/bartender at Los Cardones Eco Surf Lodge. I thought I was prepared to live basically and slow my pace of life WAYYYY down, but I had no idea. I found myself struggling to slow down my walking, my thinking, my talking, my everything. It seemed like my brain could not relax enough from the hectic pace of life in the states. Work was fun and the people were amazing. Marrion and Mateo were fantastic managers and I enjoyed my time working there.

I felt extremely lucky to have the clients we did for the month of November. I first lucked out with a weeklong yoga retreat of 8 women and 2 men, mostly from Vancouver BC. I taught multiple surf lessons and they in return helped me relax with some amazing yoga sessions. I was a "natural" due to my long torso and relatively flexible body and enjoyed the yoga a good deal.
Next was a group of 10 wild women from Fernie, BC that heckled me non-stop about coming up to Fenrie skiing and how much they would kick my butt through the deep powder. I may just have to make a trip to Fernie and see if I can keep up!
