Days 18 & 19: Vancouver (Round 2)

Back in Vancouver, pouring with rain and we're a little hungover after indulging on our last night on the cruise.  On the bright side its another 15th floor room at the Sandman Suites - a hotel whose service you have to love.  Anywhere that collects washing from the surrounding streets after an idiot guest has hung their clothes out to dry overnight on their 15th floor balcony and the frankly obvious happens ...... well thats an A for service in my book (also helps that the manager used to be a barman at Dirty Dicks pub on Rose St).

Our last day in Vancouver (having done very little yesterday after disembarking from the ship) - took the bus successfully out to the University of British Columbia campus to see the Anthropology Museum which houses numerous ‘First Nations’ (the Canadian term for the Indian aborigines) artefacts – think totem poles and sculptures. I say successfully as the last time Jane and I tried to get a bus in North America we ended up miles from our intended destination at a Veterans Mental Institute which turned out to be the end of the line.

Anyway, we’re off to New York tomorrow and you’re all at work .... ha ha ha ha :-)
