26 Days to Departure

26 days to go, and then I'll finally be on vacation. Working all through the sticky Florida summer was hell, even though I have to admit that at my office they like to keep the thermostat on something like 62 degrees F.

Apart from the occasional night out of town, mainly in Miami, I have done nothing, seen nothing and heard nothing interesting all summer. Depressing, I know. But that's life in SW Florida when you are not a senior citizen.

Going on a cruise will be a good compromise between what I want to see and do (everything in the world) and what I can afford to spend right now (next to nothing).

The cabin and the meals are already paid for. What  scares me is what we'll spend in alcohol. On our first cruise, in April, our bar bill matched the cost of the cabin. Not good, I know.
