The train left around 3ish - ONLY six hours behind schedule (why am I not surprised?) which will put us in Los Angeles at 3:00am.  We completely missed the beauftiful coastline view :( we saw nothing but farmfields and rolling hills/mountains.  OH!  The deer out here are a blackish color.  Different.

We arrived in Union Station late - really late.  Caught a cab to our apartment - the boys have a two bedroom and we have one bedroom.  The boys are afraid of the apartment.  I'll take photos and attach them later.  We were up at 8am looking for a cup of coffee and breakfast.  Strolled down Hollywood and we were pointed in the direction of "Kitchen 24" Good food - great space.  We were now making our way towards Hollywood and Highland  (subway stop) to get back to Union Station to rent our car.  We were offered a Pontiac Sol!  YES YES I WANT THAT!!!  Oh...wait..how many seats does it have?

Why am I not surprised?

I'm now pushing a Pontiac Grand Am.  Red.

It's now 12:39pm and we are waiting for the boys to get showered and ready for our drive down Rodeo Drive and working our way to Venice Beach.

Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills.  They drive Mercedes like they are Altimas and Porches like Hondas.  It was unbelievable!  I left the camera in the care of my two budding photographers and got a ton of car photos.  That is such a boy thing.

Walked around for about 30 minutes and continued on our journey to Venice Beach.

Wow.  There were characters on the beach like you've never seen.  It was a good time.

On our way to Hollywood & Highland for dinner at UWink (I have another coupon).

UWink was SO cute and the food wasn't bad either.  You ordered everything from a monitor type thing at your table.  Everyone should try it at least once.
