From Maria la Gorda we returned to Havana for an overnight stay before heading to Varadero. On the way we stopped at Cuba´s highest bridge which had amazing views over a forest and towards the sea, we went on to visit the Bellamar caves where we had a guided tour (in Spanish) before arriving at Varadero. The beach there was beautiful (but could have been anywhere in the Caribbean) and we ate a great Paella restaurant called La Mallorca with our group. This wasn´t authentic Cuba but was a great place to relax for a couple of days.
