We met a couple of my co-workers in the Belgium town of Zelzate a border town which is only about 8km from Terneuzen where we are living. It’s a small village but its easy to get to, so we could follow Patrick to the Belgium city of Gent. Gent is a great town full of buildings that are up to 1000 years old. There is a great shopping district that we didn’t have much need for, but there are several pubs which did have our interest.

We had little snack at a nice café and had a few Belgium beers, they have over 450 different beers from Belgium and later that evening we went to pub that serves all of them. We will have to make a few trips to try them all. The castle which used to guard the city is now in the center of town and is impressive. In the spring and summer there is a beer garden in side the castle. It’s already in our calendar.

So jealous! I share an interest in old buildings and delicious beers!
