So today I wanted to just get out of the flat before school starts up again. I woke up early and despite the threat of rain I went on the hiking day trip.

I think a lot of the people on the trip had celebrated the end of exams the night before, everyone was moving a little slow.

I wore all my rainproof clothes, but was pleasantly surprised that it didn't actually rain during the day. That was good. We stopped to eat on top of a windy mountain at a spot marked on the map as "Surprise view". Not so sure what we were supposed to be surprised about, but it was an okay view of the surrounding hills.

We basically spent the day trudging through mud. Everywhere we went was a big  mud puddle. I had to really wash my shoes off when I got back, they are blue, but you never would have been able to tell.
