Here are some of our favourite images of Zanzibar.
Traditional Arab sailing vessels known as dhows regularly ply the waters off the islands, carrying the daily catch of fish to the nearest port. Seaweed harvesting is a growing industry on the archipelago. Every day at low tide, several local women could be seen collecting large bundles of seaweed and hanging it to dry. The islands export most of the seaweed they produce for sale on the international market.
