- We got up nice and early, had brekky and headed back into town. It was such a beautiful day so we parked and walked in to the town centre. It was as if we were on a movie set, the narrow streets, the canals, the bikes – but the cafes and restaurants were everywhere just like you would expect. We headed towards the Cathedral of Notre Dame. This was the most amazing thing we’ve seen. The bells were ringing so loudly- very beautiful. Words couldn’t explain the building itself- so detailed and standing at 142 meters. We didn’t actually see ‘Quassie’ but we are sure it was him ringing the bells as we got there. We then sat outside in the sun with a beer & hot choc while still looking at the cathedral in all its beauty. After quickly checking the tourist info, we decided to get going, only after Jules had finished the most delicious doner kebab she has ever eaten. We stopped at St Quinton for the night at another truck stop. Big days travel and Jules down with the flu (or something French), sleep couldn’t have come quicker for us.
