Allepey(Alapuzha)

We took a flight from Delhi to Kochin where we stayed in a hotel overnight and the next morning we headed further south to Allepey. Our first 24 hours were spent on a transformed rice barge. The rice barge was a beautiful one bedroom boat we had our own chef and a driver. We went all along the backwaters of Kerala all lined with little villages. Martina got to try her hand at a bit of fishing and we both had a go of driving the boat. Along the river bank in one of the villages we had a full body massage very nice indeed. It was really lovely.

When we returned to Allepey we were on a bit of a mission which was buying a motorbike. Luckily our guest house owner Tony was the man to help. We Bought a lovely Royal Enfield 350cc, we got it tailored to our needs which mainly consisted of sorting out the baggage rack which in India took a couple of days. It's gas they take hours to do the littlest of things. We visited a beautiful beach and had our first swim in the Indian Ocean. By the end of our stay we were excited to set off as and when we wanted with our new bike. Were now making our way slowly to Goa stopping at places along the way.
