Welcome to Forestville. Dn't blink or you will miss it... and the 7th annual Calabash Gourd Festival.
Described as a 'a silent auction of fine gourd art' Calabash is a festival dedicated to gourds, fine art and gardens. The festival raises money for the Food for Thought Sonoma County AIDS Food bank. A non-profit organisation which provides fresh produce and food supplies to Sonoma counties HIV/AIDS victims. Everyone who visits the Calabash celebration is treated to organic food nibblies (YUM), a wide range of Sonoma County's best wines, live music (featuring gourd instruments), garden tours and all the fine gourd art you can lay your eyes on. It was an excellent way to spend an afternoon, surrounded by good people, good food, plenty of wine and a good cause.
