Last stop on this part of the trip. I took a stroll along the river, which sits at the bottom of a deep ravine. An eagle soared in circles overhead. Eventually I heard the roar of the waterfall. First you see the American Falls which are flat but nonetheless pretty spectacular. Then the mist from the bigger Horseshoe Falls begins to fall on you as you approach. I'm sure greater wordsmiths than I have described this sight, but I haven't the time to crib them and pass them off as my own. So I will just say, it is as impressive as I imagined. You can get very close to where the water passes over the edge. If you went over the rail and in, you'd be over the edge in seconds - no chance of fighting that current. As you stand there you just keep thinking, "Where does all this water come from?"

And it just keeps on coming.

...impressive as I imagined.
