Finding this beautiful house was a bit of a challenge on just a couple hours of sleep after a day of travel. We missed a couple turns in the village and ended up doing a scenic tour before we even arrived. The girls were amazed at the village... the old stone buildings with pointed mossy roofs, the narrow streets and of course horses on the side of the road. When we finally arrived at the house, the girls jumped out, picked their beds and began to get settled in. AP wanted to explore the green and lush gardens, despite the pouring rain and cold temperature. To her amazement we ran across a black lamb munching on the grass near the house. She started to walk toward it but only to see it's black wooly butt running away from her. She baaaa'ed at it and it responded. They communicated back and forth for a good 5 minutes. As we went back inside to warm up, we found Nai'a curled up on "her" bed napping. That was all we needed to all join in.

After our yummy naps, we set off for the closest grocery store in Gisors. It was about a 10 minute drive and we were excited to see what the store was like. We had fun trying to decipher the French packaging and figure out what we wanted to buy. We found lots of favorites... nectarines, pears, chicken, pretzels, lays bbq chips and some new ones also Kinder Chocolate. Then back home to have a home cooked dinner by grandma!!!
Since it stays light so late here we are doing our best to stay up and try to get acclimated. We are going for a walk through the village and try to pet the sheep. Then off to a much needed sleep to start our vacation!!!
