After missing out on this years Oxegen I had to console my self with a weeks snowboarding in Bariloche. This place borders Chile on the Andes mountains and it is a really beautiful spot to snowboard.

The views from the top of the mountain are amazing and the slopes were really good quality (not that I would know, but I heard a few people say so!) The town itself had a real party atmosphere and we seemed to arrive at a busy time of the year which was goods in terms of drinking in the evenings!

Had some great nights out in Bariloche in some of the local pubs and nightclubs, which seem to operate on the same policy as Buenos Aires and don't close until the early hours. Met some new English and Irish friends there so hopefully we will bump into them again in the future.

The hostel we stayed in was great too but took me a while getting used to drinking with a group being the only English speaker. My Spanish seems to be coming on a bit in that I can understand a lot of what is going on around me but can't really say what I want. I think to the locals I must sound like a three year old!

We took the crossing from Bariloche to Osorno and then headed straight to Santiago where we will sample the sights and nightlife for a few days before heading north. I have more pictures from Bariloche and the south here -http://picasaweb.google.com/hughes.niall/SouthArgentina
