In Dampier / Karatha we went to see Shrek 3 at the cinema, did countless loads of laundry, shopping (essentials plus more audio books and DVDs), and tried to rid ourselves of the Pilbara red dust. On the latter, we were only partially successful especially given no car washing was allowed. We found the North West Gas Shelf info centre interesting and found some aboriginal rock engravings in the Burrup Peninsula.

A and M said goodbye to a new friend. We were all packed and ready to move on. Last on the list was to fill the water tank. Whilst filling I noticed water pouring out under the trailer and then discovered that I had flooded our storage area – the hose at the nozzle had come off inside the trailer. We then unloaded, applied “duck tape” to the problem, repacked and off we went.
