After a leisurely morning at the hotel the first stop on heading back to Parmakula was a small cove a few miles prior to Kulcan.Parking the bus along the lay-by it is a descent of a hundred or two concrete stairs to the small but empty golden cove .The beautiful blue sea looked to inviting to resist a bit of a swim but the waters were still quiet cool thanks to the strong winds that had been blowing recently .Much to my embarrassment upon leaving the sea I got dumped on by an unexpected wave After covering myself up I turned around to face towards the beach I was shocked to see that a small coach load of people had probably witnessed the whole incident .

We arrived in Kulcan and walked down the hillside towards the harbour. The narrow streets were lined with craft shops ,restaurants ,bars and hotels .Although once a Ottoman – Greek fishing village Kulcan now revolves around tourism .We had coffee at a harbour side restaurant which was well needed as I think I had ingested half the sea .We sat a watched the yachts leaving the harbour ,one particular yacht had got its anchor stuck and it was amusing watching the body language of all those involved .

My shorts were still slightly damp from my bikini bottoms which gave me the feeling that I needed the bathroom the whole time .I was relieved to get to the lunch stop and change into some dry bottoms .We stopped at a tiny family own restaurant up in the hills where the air was a lot fresher and they served amazing pancakes which were washed down with Aaryon.Whilst waiting for the food the owners allowed us to walk around their back garden which was more like a small orchard and try a variety of fruits none of which I know the name.

Although the hotel in Parmakuli was my least favourite of the whole trip I was glad of the Jacuzzi when we arrived there to relieve my stiff muscles.

For dinner we went to Mehmets place and we sat on the balcony which overlooked the calcium formations which were glowing in the sunset .We were joined by Yavuz’s wife who works in the area and were given free stuffed peppers and goats cheese for a started .This made a nice change from all the bread, afterwards we were given a free water pipe to smoke but we didn’t stay long as we had a very early start in the morning.
