After a stop for lunch in Manitou,we headed to our next destination....Royal Gorge. It has the world's highest suspension bridge, at 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River. It is 1,260 feet long and 18 feet wide . They say that it can support an excess of 2 million pounds...but Adam and I were both a little concerned when they were letting cars and motorcycles drive across the bridge as we were walking on it! Did I mention that it was VERY windy and the bridge rocked and rolled? It did!

They have an aerial tram and an inclined railroad, but we did not have time to ride them because we went and explored their wild west town and animal farm....two things that Adam really digs! We did, however, walk the span of the bridge both ways and were lucky enough to get to see a train passing under us in the bottom of the gorge.

We will be spending the night in Pueblo, Colorado. 8)
